About Our Club

Smithfield Sportsman’s Club, located at 14 Walter Carey Road in Smithfield, RI, was founded in 1917 as Georgiaville Foxhunter’s Club by David Harris (President 1917-1938), Oscar Steere, Henry Keene and Louis Giusti for the purpose of promoting game conservation and legislation favorable to sportsmen.

Today, the club is a thriving community of over 300 regular members with interests ranging from hunting to fishing to target shooting to archery, and the club continues to actively promote conservation and legislation to protect the interests of all sportsmen.

You are welcome to come to our monthly meetings, which are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30, and introduce yourself.
